Nordex Cold Water Extraction

Buffalo Extraction System’s Nordex Cold Water Extraction is a CE-certified setup for efficient separation of temperature-sensitive products such as trichomes from raw biomass. Available in multiple models, the setup maintains temperature consistency and employs a bidirectional, variable speed rotor and product-water recirculation for maximum trichome separation. Progressive mesh screens allow collection of various qualities.

Operator loads water in the storage tank and switches on the cold water extraction system via the HMI. Cooling coil drops water temperature to 1 to 20C. Water is then transferred to the extractor. Operator soaks the raw biomass in this water before switching on the variable speed, bi-directional rotor to create a controlled turbulence for maximum trichome separation. The product-water then flows to the spent wash collection tank from where it is recirculated through the extractor for further trichome extraction. Finally, the product-water is passed through penta / tri collection system with multistage sieves for obtaining various trichome qualities.
