Cybernetik's Battery Pack Assembly Line is automated for efficient EV battery pack production by grouping cells with similar electrical parameters. Such precise cell sorting is based on OCV & IR test results, and ensures consistent performance for the electric vehicle battery. Highly customizable, the system enables fast and accurate EV battery pack assembly. Data traceability and vision system ensure quality by rejecting cells with polarity and resistance defects.
Operations of this EV battery production setup begin with a robotic arm picking and scanning cells. Next, plasma cleaning clears cell terminals to improve welding as well as improve accuracy of testing. Vision system confirms insulation paper application, while barcode scanning ensures traceability. Cells undergo Internal Resistance (IR), Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) and Alternating Current Internal Resistance (ACIR) tests before being oriented for module assembly. After polarity verification, they are laser welded, retested, and robotically soldered. The module is then housed, with top and bottom plates installed. Finally, rigorous end-of-line testing for the battery assembly automation guarantees highest performance for electric vehicles.
