Cybernetik’s Automatic Spool Winding System automates the process of winding technical fibres on spools. An automated thread winding machine, it works by regulating tension in the fibre to improve the accuracy, speed, and operational continuity. The automated yarn winding machine doubles productivity compared to manual operations, and is compatible with technical fibres of a wide range of diameters.
Operator interlinks multiple fibre bobbins and connects them to the pre-tension system and servo capstan on the thread winding machine before loading unwound spools on the system. A gantry picks and places empty spools for loading followed by a pre- winding system slowly conducting the initial turns. Thereafter, winding is rapid and the fibre is cut after spooling the required length. The gantry now simultaneously places the wound spool at the exit and an unwound spool for winding. This starts the next spooling cycle for the yarn winding machine without downtime.
